How can you love what you don’t know?
“Unknown Means Unloved” (tak kenal maka tak sayang) is a popular proverb in Indonesia which means to love or care for someone, we have to know them.
You are invited to get to know about Yayasan Cinta Baca and a glimpse of Indonesian culture, so you can extend your love and care to our nearest neighbours, the people in Indonesia and the work of Yayasan Cinta Baca in bringing a better future for Indonesian children.

There will be a presentation about who they are, their work and their needs to bring literacy to Indonesian children in rural areas.
Enjoy listening to Indonesian songs being performed and participate in a silent auction with various items, mostly showcasing Indonesian-crafted jewellery, decor or accessories. All profits from ticket sells and silent auction will be directed to Yayasan Cinta Baca and will be used in their most needed projects.
Food Allergy
Indonesian cuisine is rich with herbs and spices as well as many allergens such as peanuts. Unfortunately, at this point, we are currently unable to serve a separate single portion to cater for your needs if you are allergic to certain foods. However, it would still be best to let us know in the form below (the allergen section will come up after you select your intended ticket). Please also bring your own food as a precaution.
About Yayasan Cinta Baca
Yayasan Cinta Baca is a non-profit organisation founded in 2001 to give Indonesian children better education and training by building a community learning centre based on libraries and non-formal education.
Yayasan Cinta Baca establishes city libraries, village libraries as well as reading posts (mini libraries) in schools and village community centres where children gain access to a library that provides fun and interesting books that will spark their imagination and promote a lifelong love of reading. They offer a basic training course for teachers and volunteers at each library/reading post that is established.
